Popular NYC restaurant group seek to hire a hands on Repair, Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor. This is a hands on position that will assist with repairs across multiple restaurant properties. Performs repairs at Restaurants as needed on mechanical, electrical, kitchen and venue equipment. · Performs Restaurant engineering projects as assigned by the Director of Operations and General Managers. · Ensures Restaurant fire safety equipment (fire alarm system, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers) are operational. · Notifies the Restaurant Director of Operations when major repairs are needed. · Ensures that all maintenance tools are in good working condition and stored neatly and securely in the maintenance room. · Performs other restaurant tasks as needed by other departments. · Complies with all Restaurant related OSHA, ADA, and other safety and security policies. · Assist with all restaurant repair requests and equipment malfunctions. · Demonstrates courteous, friendly professional restaurant work environment. · Demonstrates a commitment to providing the best possible experience for our restaurant guests and employees. · Must wear safety attire (shoes, headwear etc. · Reports all restaurant unsafe conditions and suspicious activities. · Assist with tracking of restaurant repairs and reports to comply with city and building safe standards. · Other duties as assigned by Restaurant Management. Knowledge and Skills · Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment in a restaurant environment. · Must be able to effectively communicate. · Must possess knowledge of restaurant electrical, mechanical and preventative maintenance systems. · Must possess working knowledge of restaurant carpentry, plumbing and painting. · Must be able to work under minimal supervision. · Must be able to focus on details. · Must be able to read, write, and understand English language. · Must have basic knowledge of arithmetic. · Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion at all times. · Ability to stand on their feet for long periods of time. · Ability to maneuver and handle heavy equipment and machinery. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED certificate preferred. Preferred technical diploma from a trade college. Experience: Restaurant facilities maintenance experience required. Strong multi-unit restaurant technical skills with preferably a minimum of three years of facilities management experience. Facilities management experience directly supporting multiple locations is preferred.
