Description

A tasting of Boone's Bourbon with Tyler and Mick Boone South Carolina guitarist Tyler Boone and his band play Americana & Blues Alt Rock and have been self releasing music since 2012. He's also the Founder of Boone's Bourbon, a cask-strength, 117 proof bourbon. Tyler and his dad, Mick Boone, are coming to Louisville because Boone's Bourbon will be served at this year's Louder Than Life festival. While they're here they wanted to hangout and drink with the Bourbon Brotherhood. Boone's Bourbon won double gold at the 2020 New York International Spirits Competition. Forbes Magazine writes: A geographic outlier, this barrel-strength offering is produced and bottled outside of Charleston, South Carolina. There’s a lot going on here. Clove, stewed apples, smoke, and even a touch of leather—all suspended within a pleasantly creamy mouthfeel. Although 95% of America’s native spirit comes from Kentucky, bourbon—and, yes, even great bourbon—can come from anywhere in the US. This particular label serves as a compelling testament to that fact. When you arrive, you'll be greeted with a welcome cocktail and then we'll be doing some neat pours. We'll also put some food out, and of course there will be awesome door prizes as always. Tyler will be headed to Nashville to play at AmericanaFest with his band a few days after our event, so he'll have his electric guitar with him and will perform a song or two for us. Thank you to our good friends at Hatfield Media for hosting this unique experience at their new headquarters! It seems like Covid is not going away anytime soon, so please use good judgment and attend at your own discretion. Hand sanitizer will be available and encouraged and we'll be doing elbow bumps instead of handshakes - like we did last month. Let's be safe. The Bourbon Brotherhood is a monthly social gathering of men who enjoy bourbon and camaraderie. Is this politically correct? Probably not.
