Will you be at The Halloween Capital of North Texas? If you like Halloween, then Beware! of The Square is the MUST ATTEND event of the season for all of north Texas! Celina has been proclaimed at The Halloween Capital of North Texas from County Judge Chris Hill. Come to Downtown Celina and The Square on Saturday, Oct 23 starting at 4:00pm and see the area transformed into a wonderland for all sorts of ghosts and goblins. There will be so much for everyone to do including a haunted attraction from the Celina High School Theater Department, pumpkin painting, physic readings, Halloween vendors, themed music, carnival rides, axe throwing, inflatables, escape rooms from Haunted Entities / HE Escapes N Stuff and plenty of treat-r-treating with thousands of pieces of candy available. You can also donate blood throughout the day at the Carter BloodCare bus onsite (Dracula thanks you in advance). Have your cameras ready for the always popular Thriller Flash Mob dance about 7:00pm followed by an outdoor showing of the classic Hocus Pocus (PG). The new turf lawn makes relaxing with your chairs and blankets very easy. The entire event will conclude sometime around 10:00pm. Thanks to the many sponsors who are involved, the event is **FREE** to attend and participate in most attractions. Tickets will be required for the high school haunted attraction and escape room, and those can be purchased at the door. Food and beverages (including things for adults) will be available for purchase, too. Costumes are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED for all attendees (that means parents, too)! So, gather up your family and friends and bring them to downtown Celina. Share this information with them so they have it on their calendar, too.
