Description
This NTSB workshop focuses on interagency collaboration and resources required to provide family assistance following a major incident.
The family assistance operation established in response to a major accident requires a multi-agency response and a heightened level of interagency coordination. Local, state, and Federal agencies as well as non-governmental organizations and private sector entities share a variety of responsibilities requiring well-coordinated efforts.
This workshop focuses on the necessary interagency collaboration required, before, during and in the aftermath of a major transportation accident across five modes of transportation (aviation, rail, highway, marine and pipeline). Through a series of presentations and case studies, attendees will discuss the role and responsibilities of responding agencies; applicable legislation; best practices and lessons learned.
VALIDATED PARKING and LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.
