Demonstration of how to plant wildflowers, learn flowers to plant, and get free seeds! Come to our demonstration gardens for this hands-on workshop on how to plant seeds and select the best species of wildflowers for your backyard. Participants who attend will receive a pack of seeds that includes native and nonnative wildflowers for Central Florida. One of the major threats to the world is loss of biodiversity. Be part of the solution and join our workshop to receive and plant wildflowers to attract pollinators. Plant a wildflower and experience the joy of watching nature come alive in your own backyard. You will learn about Florida-Friendly Landscaping principles and wildflower species to attract bees, butterflies and beneficial insects. This event will be held outdoors in the fresh air. Please arrive a few minutes before the time for the workshop and walk to the back of the Extension Center to meet at the picnic pavilion. Please practice social distancing and do not come if you are feeling sick or have been exposed to someone with COVID in the past 14 days. There are restrooms located outside for use next to the Plant Clinic. Pre-registration is required along with the non-refundable class registration fee. All ticket sales are final, no refunds. Cancellation policy: Classes are subject to cancellation if a minimum number of attendees are not booked. If class is cancelled you will receive a notification, and a refund confirmation to the e-mail that is provided during the registration process.
