On Aug. 16 at approximately 10:08 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2400 block of Washington Boulevard on a report of gunfire heard in the area.
When they arrived, they discovered Sherry Birmingham, 48, laying on the ground and suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.
