Press release from Shreve Memorial Library: September 14, 2021 Now that Shreve Memorial Library branches have resumed indoor programming, patrons of the library can enjoy a wide assortment of programs for children, teens and adults. Children of all ages are invited to visit their favorite Shreve Memorial Library branch to enjoy a live, interactive story time and dream, discover, do. All programs are free and open to the public, however masks, registration and social distancing are required. Each story time program promotes the development of early literacy skills with stories, songs, movement, interactive play, and crafts. Story time programs are geared for children ages 0 to 10 and are held at Shreve Memorial Library branches throughout Caddo Parish.  Programs like the Broadmoor Branch's Baby Bounce and the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch's Mother Goose Storytime are designed especially for babies and caregivers, while story time at the David Raines Branch and at the North Shreveport Branch are geared toward preschoolers. Story time programs often feature a theme with a matching craft such as the Froggy Friends Story Time at the Cedar Grove-Line Avenue Branch and the Feathered Friends Story Time program at the Mooretown Branch. Story time programs are held regularly throughout the week at Shreve Memorial Library branches. On Tuesdays, children ages 3 to 5 can join the David Raines Branch, 2855 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, for an interactive story time with lots of singing, moving and crafting from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Babies, toddlers and preschoolers are invited to join the North Shreveport Branch, 4844 North Market Street, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for "Storytime!" The David Raines Branch also hosts story time on Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, parents and children can enjoy story time programs at both the Hamilton/South Caddo and Broadmoor Branches. The Hamilton/South Caddo Branch, 2111 Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, hosts Mother Goose Story Time for children ages 0 to 3 on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. The Broadmoor Branch, 1212 Captain Shreve Drive, hosts Preschool Story Time for children ages 3 to 5 on Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and Baby Bounce, a lap sit story time program for babies and caregivers, on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Additionally, story time programs are held at the Broadmoor Branch on Saturday mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for children ages 0 to 5, and a special Pajama Storytime for children ages 4 to 10 will be held at the Hamilton/South Caddo Branch on Tuesday, September 21 at 6:30 p.m. Story time programs are also held at the following Shreve Memorial Library branches on the dates and times listed below: Atkins Branch, 3704 Greenwood RoadThe Very Hungry Caterpillar Story Time on Thursday, September 16 at 10:00 a.m. Cedar Grove-Line Avenue Branch, 8303 Line AvenuePre-K Storytime: Froggy Friends on Wednesday, September 22 at 2:00 p.m. Means Branch, 7016 Magnolia Lane, IdaFall Begins Story Time and Craft on Wednesday, September 22 at 4:00 p.m. Mooretown Branch, 4360 Hollywood AvenueFeathered Friends Story Time on Saturday, September 25 at 10:00 a.m.Very Hungry Caterpillar Story Time on Tuesday, September 28 at 10:00 a.m. North Caddo Branch, 615 N.
