HealthPlus, LLC is seeking full-time Machine Operators with a minimum 1 year machine experience, ideally in the manufacturing industry. The position is an opportunity to build a newly formed company invested by one of the nation’s leading healthcare providers and a world-class manufacturer of healthcare products. The company is focused on the manufacture of personal protective equipment (PPE) with the mission to ensure a stable supply of product to healthcare workers, patients and communities throughout the United States. The individual will be headquartered in Asheville, North Carolina. Summary: Set up, run, and maintain machine for packaging finished goods. Primary Responsibilities: • Set up machine: clean, lubricate, inspect for mechanical problems, add paper, film, ink, etc. as needed. • Run the machine: check for problems and make necessary adjustments or repairs. • Change printing plates, ink, etc. when changing products to be packaged. • Adhere to safety standards when running or repairing machine. • Be sure machine and air compressor are turned off at end of day. Additional Responsibilities: • Use hand cart or pallet jack to carry supplies from warehouse to production area. • Assist in other duties as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: • Machine operator experience desirable. • Able to read and write numbers. • Able to recognize mechanical problems, make repairs, and order parts. • Knowledge of proper use of tools. • Understand safety issues in relation to machine operation and maintenance. • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. • Able to stand for long periods of time. • Able to use hand cart or pallet jack. Working Conditions: • Works around mechanical parts. • Air-conditioned clean room 6-7 hours per day – hair and clothing covered. • Non-air-conditioned warehouse area approximately 1-2 hours per day. • Under close supervision around others. • Must meet deadlines. • Moderate noise level. • Bending reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, carrying, lifting, carrying, and walking.
