Description
Do you have good computer and problem solving skills? Do you like the idea of working at races like marathons, 5k runs, triathlons, and bike races?
If so, you might make a good race timer. We pay up to $400 per race plus travel expenses (if needed) for experienced Lead Timers, but you'll make $175-250 per race just starting out. We time all over the state of Colorado, and often around the country as well.
Now, the nitty gritty:
- Races are almost always on weekends
- You'll get up early and often the days are long
- You'll usually be outside (under a tent), where it can be cold/windy/etc.
- You need to be within commuting distance of Boulder
- You need your own car, preferably a hatchback that can carry a good amount of equipment
- You need to be able to carry 60 lbs (this is typically the heaviest equipment you'll need to set up)
- This is contract work
What will you like about this gig?
- You're not in an office
- The vibe is good, since everyone at a race actually wants to be there
- You'll see some amazing parts of Colorado (and maybe other parts of the country, too)
- You'll get to use your brain to solve problems
- The technology is pretty dang cool
- Athletes love getting accurate, quick results and will appreciate your work
We need new timers to help at races in less than 2 weeks -- September 25-26, so get in touch today!
