Rock and Road is a metal fabrication shop in Loomis, CA. We specialize in custom offroad, rock crawler, and Ultra4 builds from bumpers, brackets, cages, chassis, to anything in between. We also service and tune off-road shocks including ADS, King, Fox shocks. Our team takes pride in detailed, thorough, and quality craftsmanship and we stand behind our work. JOB TITLE: Customer Service AND/OR Shock Technician Ideally the job is about 50% customer service, 50% shock technician HOURS: Part-time to full-time depending on experience LOCATION: Loomis, CA EXPERIENCE: Must have some off-road/automotive knowledge but will train the right person. This is NOT a fabrication or welding position. RESPONSIBILITIES: This is a unique position where part of your time will be answering phone calls and assisting customers and part of your time will be servicing shocks. Shock Technician Responsibilities: • Disassemble, inspect, replace seals, rebuild shocks • Keep workspace clean and organized • Will train but must be mechanically inclined Customer Service Responsibilities: • Answer phones and emails • Greet and assist customers • Work with vendors to order parts and troubleshoot • Pick up parts and materials • Organize and schedule appointments • Basic invoicing using Quickbooks accounting software • Help out around the shop wherever necessary in entry level tasks • Keep shop clean and organized REQUIREMENTS: • Can lift 50lbs without assistance • Must be okay with working in loud, shop environment • Drug test and background check required • Clean DMV • Drug Free • Can-do attitude and up for anything! EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: • 1+ year of customer service or sales experience • Off-road and automotive knowledge a must • Mechanically inclined • Excellent written and verbal communication with vendors & clients • Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and meet deadlines • Respectful and courteous • Organized, neat, detail-oriented • Trustworthy, reliable, dependable • Positive outlook and proactive personality • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite • Stable work history • Desire to have fun! • Quickbooks knowledge a plus • Social Media managing experience a plus COMPENSATION: • Competitive pay depending on experience and qualifications Please send a resume and cover letter including why you would be a great fit for the position to: [email protected]
