POTTSTOWN, PA — A winning $2 million Pennsylvania Lottery ticket was sold on Saturday at the Wawa store near the Coventry mall in the Pottstown area. The winning Powerball ticket was sold in the Sept. 11 drawing at the Wawa at 260 W. Schuylkill Road, in North Coventry. The purchaser took the Power Play option and matched 5 of the winning numbers drawn: 20-31-38-40-49, but not the red number, 21. Even without the red ball match, the ticket was worth $2 million, the PA Lottery reported. If the ticket purchase had not included the multiplier Power Play, it would have been worth $1 million. The Chester County Wawa store that sold the winning ticket will get a $10,000 bonus. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one full year from the drawing date to claim prizes. The holder of the winning ticket should sign the back of the ticket and contact the nearest lottery office, the Pennsylvania Lottery said. Make sure you know what's happening in your town.
