Description

MONROVIA, CA — Members of the Monrovia Unified School District's Policy Review Committee will gather Thursday to go over the district's policies, practices and procedures. The purpose of the review is to determine whether any of the board's policies are "unjust or unfair; create structural barriers to diversity, equity and inclusion in the district governance, employment or enforcement; or perpetuate systemic racism in district affairs," according to the group's agenda. The committee will submit its findings to the Board of Education with a list of possible recommendations to district policies school officials can consider, the agenda read. Thursday's meeting will go over the current school year and the district's grading policy. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the district office conference room. Residents are free to attend and will have the opportunity to provide public comments. Comments can also be made via email before the start of the meeting. The district office is located at 325 E. Huntington Drive.
