Description

We are looking for a fun, loving and energetic caregiver/companion for our 21-year-old son in Potomac, MD. He is autistic and non-speaking; he uses a keyboard to spell to communicate which is how we know how smart, easy-going and hilarious he is! The position would involve watching tons of movies, reading aloud, going on outings in the community, going for walks, and facilitating daily living skills (washing hands and preparing snacks). The ideal candidate would not need any prior experience with special needs but does require a big heart, a willingness to learn, be flexible and have a sense of humor. We will provide training. The candidate would need to have a car.
