The list ranks the safest cities in the Peach State using population, median income, violent crime and property crime.
Sandy Springs, which was ranked No. 11, has a population of 110,760 and a median household income of $74,093, SafeWise reported. Its violent crime rate per 1,000 is 1.3; the property crime rate per 1,000 is 17.8.
As part of its analysis, SafeWise reviewed crime report data from the FBI, tallying that with each town or city's population, while excluding locations with populations under 2,500 and a threshold of 17,375. Only places below the threshold, and ones that provided the FBI with a full crime report, were additionally included.
