BALDWIN, NY — Baldwin High School seniors are eligible to participate in a new initiative with Nassau Community College. Through the SUNY Nassau's Dual Enrollment Program, pre-qualified seniors starting this month can earn college credit with courses directly on campus. Thirteen students from Baldwin's Class of 2021 enrolled at the SUNY Nassau campus. Baldwin is the first district to participate in the dual-enrollment partnership. "We are excited to launch our partnership with Nassau Community College and provide our students with the best all-around college experience before graduating high school," Dr. Shari Camhi, Baldwin UFSD superintendent said in a statement. "The collaboration is part of the district's mission to ensure that every student in Baldwin graduates future-ready." The students are taking up to six classes this semester: math, political science, economics, science, English, and physical education.
