Primary Functions Serve as the senior contact for technical support. Lead person to troubleshoot and solve problems. Key Functions • Primary person responsible for answering the tech phone line and email correspondence • Maintain current records and up-to-date knowledge of products and parts. • Provide excellent customer service. • Document and communicate all service problem areas and trends to appropriate Company personnel. • Process warranty claims in accordance with approved policies and procedures. • Work with appropriate Company personnel to ensure REE’s website contains current and complete technical bulletins and manuals. • Communicate with the purchasing department making suggestions for suggested parts in order to support new products and make suggestions for addition, deletions, and quantity changes to current inventory based on information obtained or on trends observed. • Develop and implement comprehensive dealer training strategies, procedures, programs, and multimedia materials with the approval and oversight of management. • Oversee and participate as necessary in on-site repair and maintenance of Rural Energy products, equipment, and building • Submit progress reports to management as requested. • Performs training on Rural Energy products. • Other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications, Expertise & Education • Extensive knowledge of product and support services is expected. • An operational understanding of all products offered by the Company is required. • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required. • Ability to work under deadlines and in a work environment that is subject to cyclical heavy workloads. • Good interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with the public must be demonstrated. • A high degree of personal and professional integrity is required. • Knowledge of general data processing and office service functions with experience in transaction processing, word processing, database, query, and spreadsheet software packages. Comments • The position is highly visible to customers and requires the ability to influence/persuade. • This position is critical to the marketing, sales, and customer service efforts of the Company • Quality of effort can greatly impact corporate image and workload. • Travel away from REE (Anchorage) is occasionally required. • It is incumbent upon all directors, officers, and employees to be completely familiar with all Company policies, procedures, and rules. • This position has a Non-exempt FLSA Status.
