Description
We have been in the same house for 4+ years and have always paid our rent regardless of anything. We have made it home and have kept it maintained and in good condition. We had the option to buy the house through owner financing with under a few thousand dollars down to get things going but unfortunately it had been tough to come up with that amount right away and pay the rent at the same time. It wasn't going to be an immediate decision because i wasn't sure i wanted to commit and invest in a property in the heart of the city where the neighbor hood isn't that great, we walk outside of our back yard and there are tons of people parked along side of the street, drinking smoking, partying, theres never any peace. They throw they're trash out onto the ground and we end up cleaning it up. We have dealt with it all regardless. So recently i received a message from my landlord telling me that he was putting the house on the market. and the first thing i think of is wow we are going to have to move which is not an easy thing these days. 2 days after getting that message there is a for sale sign up in the front yard. I'm at a loss of words. What bothers me the most is the inaccuracy of the listing description regarding the neighborhood and the amount of money that is being asked. I'm stuck, don't know what to do- I am hard working, i have worked all my life and at the same job for 25 years. I am not one that likes to move around year over year but always seem to find someone that ends up like this. I do want to own my own home but not sure what's available to me as my credit isn't the greatest. I'm not sure of what else to do as even if the house doesn't sell, im not convinced that this area is right for us long term.
