We are looking for 1 to 2 individuals with prior experience working with Laser Cutting Machines. (Bonus if you are familiar with Boss or Kern). Your job will be to monitor, load, repair, and maintain our 3 Co2 Laser Cutters as they cut & engrave our wooden mechanical puzzle products. - 60 x 120 Kern Optiflex 250 watt Laser - 55 x 108 Boss HP5598 Gen 4 150 watt laser - 35 x 55 Boss HP3655 Gen 4(5?) 100 watt laser Experience is preferred, at least in regards to actually working with Co2 lasers in a previous occupation. While our Kern runs well, our Boss Lasers can be quite finicky and prone to breakdowns. Ideally, we are looking for someone capable enough to prevent this from occurring in the first place, but being quick on your feet with solutions is always a bonus too. What are you cutting? With every sheet of plywood, you will be cutting out one of our mechanical, wooden 3D puzzle books. Each page must be solved and unlocked in order to progress to the next page, on the back of which you will find a portion of a story too! We offer a 2 page, 5 page, and 7 page versions. Your job is to insure that our assembly teams never run out of books to assemble. On top of that, we will also continue prototyping & designing newer products as our business continues to grow. Responsibilities Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures Select corresponding files to match Specific Orders Clean and Maintain Laser Machines (If applicable) Upgrade Existing machinery for efficiency and speed. Operate all 3 Lasers during one of the two daily shifts (hours tbd) Skills Basic technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc. Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps, hammers, and glue) Good understanding of quality control principles Good communication skills Excellent hand-eye coordination & good physical condition (stairs and repeated motions) High school diploma or GED are ideal but not essential Prefer good work history Job Type: Full-time Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 /hour COVID-19 considerations: We don't have customer traffic and are such a small business that we don't even surpass the definition of a "group" of people! Nevertheless, if masks and spacing are desired, we are more than happy to accomodate.
