Launch or relaunch your career in advanced and aerospace manufacturing through an online *no-cost, 10-week registered Pre-Apprenticeship Program offered through the Aerospace Joint Apprenticeship Committee (AJAC) and receive college credit in this program. As a Pre-Apprenticeship Manufacturing Academy student intern, you will have the opportunity to develop skills to succeed in the industry including: *Blueprint Reading *Precision Measurement *Certification in OSHA and more *Applied Math for Manufacturing *Receive mentoring and training from industry professionals *Effective communication, resume writing, interviewing and job application assistance *Earn college credits *Connect with manufacturing employers regarding career opportunities. Tours may be offered online. *Receive social service support services www.ManufacturingAcademy.org This education and training will give you the mentoring, instruction, technical insight, education, skills and certifications that you need for a living wage career path in aerospace and advanced manufacturing occupations in such areas as Machining, Industrial Maintenance, Automation, and Industrial Manufacturing Technician, Compliance, and Quality Assurance. Candidates for this online program include those who qualify for types of Workforce Funding: * In order to be eligible to attend you must be 18 or older and should fall into one of the following categories: • Unemployed / receiving Unemployment benefits • Previously received Unemployment benefits in the last 4 years • Wife/Husband currently receiving unemployment benefits • Previously in the military with in the last 4 years • You also may be eligible if you receive EBT, Food Stamps, Basic Food, BFET, SNAP and if you are involved similar programs and services. Many people are eligible they just don't realize it until they complete applications for these services.
