Company Description: Succor Creek Construction is a family owned and operated red iron and steel construction business based in Idaho’s Treasure Valley. With their roots in Homedale most of their projects occur in Owyhee and Canyon county. Through a reputation built on integrity, quality, and hard work they have been able to work on some premier steel construction projects throughout the valley and continue to see success year after year. Job Summary: Responsible for laying out and fabricating structural steel and sheet metal in order to build commercial metal structures. Welds and cuts steel, interprets blueprints, and works with concrete reinforcing steel bars. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: -Build and install iron or steel beams, girders, columns, and other construction materials to form buildings and other structures. -Make, weld, cut, and drill structural metal and rods in fabricating shops with use of metal shears, torches, and welding equipment. -Operation of lifts to move structural steel, reinforcing bars, and other materials onto and around the construction site. -Cut, position, and bolt down steel bars or welded wire fabric to reinforce concrete. -Read and interpret building designs, plans, and schematics. -Repair older infrastructure. -Unload and stack steel. -Adhere to OSHA and MSHA's policy's and procedures. -Operate at heights up to 50 ft. off the ground. -Other duties that are pertinent to the unit's success also may be assigned. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to: -High, precarious places -Outside weather conditions and extreme cold/heat. -Moving mechanical parts -Loud noises -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: -Use hands to finger, handle, or feel -Reach with hands and arms -Climb or balance -Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl -Talk, hear, and listen -Lift and/or move 50 lbs -Use close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
