What We're Looking For Our Night Shift Janitor will be responsible for performing custodial tasks for EMIT facilities in Sheridan, WY. Keep buildings in clean and orderly condition. Perform cleaning duties such as: cleaning floors, cleaning bathrooms, dusting furniture, emptying trash, and washing glass and/or windows. Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to: -Performing basic tasks that require cleaning -Maintaining cleanliness of buildings including but not limited to cleaning and stocking restrooms and breakrooms, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and emptying trash -Mixing water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications -Notifying Manager concerning needed repairs on equipment and buildings -Handling various projects and other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs -Safe and efficient use of ladder, cleaning chemicals, vacuum -Possess exceptional accuracy and attention to detail -Must be punctual and flexible regarding work hours and shifts -Ability to identify and prioritize tasks -Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision -Ability to follow schedules and instructions from Managers to work at the necessary pace to complete all daily tasks -Maintain positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management -Ambition to learn new processes and suggest process improvements -Understand the importance of safety and adhere to company policies and procedures -Ability to maintain equipment and keep a clean, safe, and orderly workspace -Ability to perform industrial cleaning, including but not limited to working from heights while operating a scissor lift, operating blowers with compressed air and operating a floor cleaner/scrubber -Ability to operate a forklift or be successfully trained in the operation of a forklift -Ability to tow a trailer including loading and backing -Ability to interact effectively with the team, foster teamwork, and demonstrate professionalism Desired Skills, Experience and Education -Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent -Must have a valid driver’s license -Previous work experience in a janitorial or building maintenance capacity Physical Requirements -The ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects -The ability to occasionally lift or raise objects weighing up to 50 lbs. from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position.
