We are looking to expand our staff with a talented and motivated Site Superintendent. Drewry Site Development is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to fill the position of Site Superintendent. You will be responsible for day to day job site operations, coordinating sub-contractors and city inspectors, ability to read and interpret plans, GPS modeling and provide an end product that meets the intent of the plans and specifications..., works with subs on deadlines and efficiency, prepares the site for each sub-contractor to be successful in their tasks. You will be expected to place heavy emphasis on the finish quality of every project being built. We are looking for someone that has a "CAN DO" attitude! ***Preferred Qualifications*** • 5+ Years experience. • Experience with Project Management, Agtek, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Trimble Business Center. • Ability to read and interpret plans. • Desire and aptitude for learning about technology, software development, computer programming, and government contracting. Basic Qualifications: • Be able to communicate effectively with crews, project managers, general contractors, supervisors, and city inspectors. • Can operate all standard heavy equipment, road grader, dozer, off road trucks, earthwork pans, excavators, etc. • Must be able to comprehend and identify the difference between contract work and change order work. Turn in all approved documents required to project manager. • Ability to adhere to job schedules. This includes forecasting, planning crew activities, and proactively requesting materials/equipment accordingly. • Maintain a safe working environment at all times for crew members. Follow all company and job safety requirements. Inspect equipment and construction sites daily to verify all safety specs are met. Conduct safety meetings as required for crew members. • Track employee time, report any personnel and safety issues. • Promote a team-like environment for crew members. • Take measurements off blueprints; figure and shoot grade/elevations for construction requirements. • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience operating heavy equipment, specifically with backhoe, excavator, and dozer, blade. • Must be able to read plans and blueprints for foundations, slabs, ADA improvements, grading, sitework and elevations. • Must have strong coordinating, time management, active listening, communication, critical thinking and reasoning skills. • Develops and implements quality control programs. • Ensures that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work according to jurisdiction, attending all pre-construction meetings with each subcontractor and identifying subcontractor that are non-compliance with safety, health and environmental quality standards. • Coordinates required inspections with local jurisdictions. • Takes action plans to deal with the results of delays. • Participates in daily, weekly, monthly planning process as appropriate. • Maintains daily log (written) of activities on the jobsite. • Ensures that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner. • Preforms job progress and completion punch list identified and completed. • Keeps upper management fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt action where necessary or suggest alternative course of action, which may be taken.
