The Maintenance Specialist maintains operating condition of all parish buildings and equipment, and completes simple repairs. The Specialist utilizes knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or heating and cooling skills in performing assignments.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Maintain, repair, clean, and service all equipment, fixtures, buildings, and properties.
Occasionally set up rooms for events in the parish activity center.
Assist with seasonal decorations in church and parish activity center.
Assist with keeping the parish grounds clean (picking up debris, pressure washing, maintaining floor mats, and other cleaning tasks).
Must be able to lift 80 pounds, and be comfortable climbing ladders and operating common hand and power tools.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
English required.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in general maintenance, construction, or make ready.
Basic level knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general maintenance tasks. Ability to operate word-processing software.
