Our client, a high-end indoor plant service in Santa Ana is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician. Anyone with experience in landscaping, indoor plant maintenance and/or plant nursery experience is highly desired. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity! Maintenance Technicians have a regular interface with customers and household staff. They will care for and maintain indoor plant installations at assigned accounts. They are expected to assess and recommend when new plants are needed to ensure installations are healthy at all times in keeping with the demands of high-end clientele. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the responsibilities include the following: 1. Maintains indoor plants and greenery and on rare occasions may need to care for outdoor plants on a weekly basis, including: Watering plants Trimming branches and leaves Changing moss Picking off dead flowers and leaves Cleaning foliage 2. Keeps track of plants installed, regularly assesses the need for new plants or exchanges. Assesses plant performance in certain areas to ensure the conditions are optimal for healthy plants. Makes the appropriate recommendations to the supervisor Completes the necessary paperwork and obtains the appropriate signatures when new plants are required. Turns in paperwork to the office. 4. There will be other duties assigned as operational need arises or client needs change. SAFETY: Uses common sense to avert dangers at each job site, follows general directions, immediately reports unsafe conditions or hazards. Reports all accidents to Maintenance Manager and office immediately but no longer than within 4 hours.
