Rehoming 11 month old (birthday 10/30/2020) female Hedgehog named Evie, please do your research on these animals as they are extremely high maintenance and expensive. She does NOT like being handled and honestly most of them never do 🤷🏻‍♀️ lol she comes with her Carolina Storm wheel which is the safest and quietest hedgehog wheel there is as well as 2 covers for them (both prices are shown below) the ONLY food she is on and needs to stay on is Hedgehog Precision which is bought from the website, it is the only hedgehog specific food that is good for them the store bought ones are literally crap, she enjoys mealworms and beetles as well. Hedgehogs need full baths only with Aveeno baby shampoo once a month, toe nails clipped at minimum twice a week, they CANNOT have sandpaper in their wheels as that will shred the pads of their feet, foot baths as needed to remove any poop, these animals poop when they run therefore their wheels are usually covered in it lol they can be litter box trained but honestly the litter box just catches what flies off the wheel lol she also comes with her heat lamp and thermostat, they cannot use heating pads and they must stay at about 75 degrees or can go into hibernation which can kill them. The food is pricey but they eat less than 2TBSP a night lol they are nocturnal animals and sleep during the day. They can be handled once they get used to your smell even if it’s sitting in a bonding sack which will also come with her. They are also solitary animals and CANNOT have “roommates” or “friends”. I just unfortunately don’t have as much time and haven’t been taking her out, and with some life changes its just not fair to her. Paid $250 for her, and have spent another $300+ on her supplies.
