We are seeking an aspiring jack of all trades. We are a production vegetable and fruit farm on 14 acres, 3 minutes from Makawao town. We grow over 40 varieties of vegetables and over 30 varieties of fruit trees and have chickens and bees. We are looking for a general laborer who is interested in learning and applying a lot of skills. Every day is different though work includes tractor mowing and tilling, compost building, bed prep, chainsawing, weedeating, plant propagation, painting, tree planting. Opportunities to participate in carpentry projects, greenhouse construction, water tank building and more. The jobs you participate in will be reflective of your skill level. Integrity and good communication is a must. In addition, must have: Solid transportation and housing. A desire to learn and receive feedback. Experience with 2 cycle engines. Experience with labor/trade type jobs. Ability to work alone. Good attention to detail. Ability to follow directions. A positive attitude. We offer $20 per hour cash to start. Looking for someone to work 2 days in a row, per week(your choice of days monday-thursday), up to 7-8 hours per day. This is an excellent job for someone interested in learning more about regenerative agriculture and homesteading. We have a very positive and friendly work environment.
