Public dedication ceremony and VIP reception for the Rubber Worker States & Stories Project. We are thrilled to invite you to the public dedication ceremony for the Rubber Worker Statue & Stories Project at 10:00am on October 9, 2021, in downtown Akron. This ceremony will be at the statue (on the corner of Main & Mill Streets) and is open to the public. The ceremony will be followed by a VIP Reception in the Akron-Summit County Public Library from 11:00am-2:00pm with Alan Cottrill (the Sculptor), David Giffels & Steve Love (authors of Wheels of Fortune), and featuring a special screening of Akron Stories. The reception is not open to the public, but tickets can be purchased here or at the door. Parking is available street-side and at parking decks throughout downtown. The High and Market Street Deck with access to the Library is free on Saturdays. Art x Love is a creative courage company based in Akron, Ohio.
