To help meet the growing demand for entry-level jobs in the technology sector, ICD - Institute for Career Development is launching a no-cost CompTIA A+ certification training program for youth and adults with disabilities in NYC. The CompTIA A+ certification is the industry standard for jumpstarting a career in IT and is trusted by employers around the world, including Intel, Blue Cross Blue Shield, HP, Dell.
In ICD's training, individuals with disabilities will build a foundational knowledge of hardware, operating systems, software troubleshooting, networking, security, mobile devices, virtualization and cloud computing, and operational procedures through hands-on learning.
All participants will also receive one-on-one counseling, work readiness training, test preparation, and job placement assistance from ICD’s expert employment specialists.
Graduates who obtain the CompTIA A+ certification will be prepared for employment as End User Computing Technicians, Computer Support Specialists, Help Desk Technicians, and more.
