I am an older dude who plays guitar and loves the spirit of improvisation – the unexpectedness of it – things always change and morph. I need to play what is in my head, and not what is already structured and finely arranged. Maybe start off with the theme of a song and spread out from there. And while I certainly have enough pedals, a clear tone is wonderful. Or maybe it is note articulation. How does one describe tone? I’m thinking more instrumentals and less vocals.
