Join us for a Family Bike Festival featuring the grand opening ride on Illinois’ first Family Friendly Bikeway. Free popsicles!! The Highland Park Bike Walk Advisory Group and Trek HP are co-hosting a Family Bike Festival featuring the grand opening ride on Illinois’ first Family Friendly Bikeway along with free helmet & bike safety checks. Plus, we’ll have free popsicles for the first 30 kids who arrive for the event! The Family Friendly Bikeway Ride will start at 2PM at the Trek HP store (1925 Skokie Valley Road). It should last about 45 minutes and explores the beautiful Highlands neighborhood. It’s a complete loop of bike-friendly streets comfortable for the whole family. Helmets are required. 2:00 PM: Family Friendly Bikeway Ride begins at Trek HP or 2:15 PM: meet at North Ave. and Summit Ave. What better way to extend the summer than with an afternoon of biking fun!
