A Driver Helper works with CDL Class A drivers to deliver products to customers and clients over the road. Driver Helpers are responsible for all tasks with the exception of driving, such as loading and unloading the truck, and interacting with customers. This is a fast-paced, outdoor position that requires the ability to continually lift items and carry packages that can weigh as much as 100 pounds. Early starts and late finishes are common with this job.Driver helpers should have excellent physical fitness, great customer service skills, and the ability to multitask and adhere to tight deadlines. On non-out of town route days, a Driver Helper will alternate as an Order Selector.The Order Selector’s primary role is to pick customer’s orders accurately, safely, and in a timely manner. The position has a wide range of duties ranging from picking orders, unloading containers, replenishing slots, cleaning warehouse, inventory, and maintaining facilities in compliance with federal and state regulations. • Assisting drivers in delivery, with the exception of driving. • Checking accuracy and integrity of product before unloading for a customer/client • Ensure the safe and proper delivery of products to customers in a timely manner • Assist customers in stocking products if they request • Ensuring 100% compliance with all company processes and standard procedures. • Operate electric riding pallet jack and sit-down forklift. • Work in a freezer environment • Be able to lift up to 100 pounds • Pick customer order by description and prepare for delivery • Assist in building, wrapping, and loading pallets • Assist in receiving and stocking inventory • Maintain a safe and clean work environment • Unload containers Work to control inventory levels by assisting in physical counts • Other duties as assigned Hours: Monday – Friday (2 nights out of town per week) Benefits: • Health • Dental • Vision • Paid Time Off • Life Insurance • Paid Holidays Qualifications: • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
