Youth will shop for, prepare, and present a nutritious meal for a group of four without exceeding $10. Contest open to Jr. and Sr. 4-H'ers. Learning to budget for a nutritious meal is a priority to living a healthy lifestyle. By participating in this project, we hope you learn more about MyPlate as well as how to purchase and prepare a nutritious meal. You will shop for, prepare, and present a nutritious meal for a group of four without exceeding $10. The meal must include correct portion sizes for all five main food groups. You will also present an exercise plan to burn 100 calories. Then, you will design a poster sharing your experience using the completed $10 Meal Challenge Worksheet. You will be judged on your poster presentation (80%) and meal prep demonstration (20%).
