Climb Roofs | Hang Holiday Lights
Jobs
Cedar Park TX
Description
I own a holiday lighting business that I started as a side-hustle last year. I am looking for brave souls who are willing to climb a ladder and walk on asphalt shingle roofs to hang lights across the suburbs of North Austin. I sold far more jobs than usual already this year and need to bring on people to help me and my crew. Job perks -- 1 - Paid the same day (cash, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay or Facebook Pay) ( I can also pay you as a W2 employee if you want this to be a "real job" for a few months. ) 2 - Drop in / Drop out (work the days and hours you want to work - scheduled one day in advance) 3 - Rewarding work! (It is actually nice to see a house before and after we hang the lights) 4 - No background or drug checks! (If you are not comfortable working with all types of people, just let me know when we interview so I can group you with the type of people you are comfortable working with. We onboard all types of people from all backgrounds.) Preference goes to the following -- 1 - People who do what they say; when they said they'll do it 2 - Roofer | Techador 3 - Handyman | Reparador 4 - Painters | Pintador 5 - Anyone in their late teens to late 30s Pay scale -- Everyone is getting $15/hour, but you get immediate $1/hour raises for each of the following that apply to you. [ ] Own Cougar Paws, roofer cushion and tool belt with pouches for lighting materials? [ ] Have a pickup truck that you can take to and from jobs? [ ] Have a presentable (no exterior damages) pick up truck 2010-2021 that you're willing to put business magnets on during jobs? [ ] Have your own ladders to get you up on one and two story roofs? [ ] Can you comfortably walk a 10/12 pitch roof and hang lights off of the eaves and rakes? [ ] Can you comfortably walk a 12/12 pitch roof and hang lights off of the eaves and rakes? [ ] Will you wear company-branded shirts or hoodies while you install? (my company -- red cloth, white letters) [ ] Will you climb trees to wrap trees with lights? [ ] Will you safely use an orchard ladder (up to 16', Hasegawa brand) to wrap trees with lights? [ ] Are you already an Independent Contractor with your own General Liability Insurance coverage? For those of you keeping track... that's $15 - $25 per hour. If you check all ten boxes you'll start off at $25/hour. If you check six of the ten boxes then you'll get $21/hour. It is pretty simple. You can also add boxes as you go if you acquire equipment, skills, willingness, or insurance to level up your pay. Important... please include your cell number in your reply. In previous years, folks will reply to the ad to say that they're interested but don't include their cell phone number. Sure, I'll be polite and reply back to you, but my first question will be for your cell phone number so I can call you to talk real quick so I can introduce myself and hear that you're real. After that we can mostly text like normal people living in 2021. Last thing... you might have guessed that I also own a roofing company. I use this side hustle as a gateway to meet people who might be roofers already or might be interested in the roofing industry. I say this as a warning because if you perform well and conduct yourself professionally... I will very likely pitch working for me as a roofer or another independent contractor tradesman.
