OPINION: Submitted by Medfield Resident Wheelock Works Better "Wheelock Works Better is my slogan for the much needed new elementary school. A new school building is sorely needed, and the School Building Committee's plan is the best – and only – way to do it! As a senior of the baby boomer generation, raised by parents of the can-do generation, my golden rule is "do it right the first time, measure twice cut once." Let's build the school at Wheelock and save ourselves money in the long run. The sharing of staff alone will accomplish that. As a property owner in Town, I appreciate how the School Building Committee's plan will maintain and increase our home values. And the plan will give the Town the flexibility for both future growth, and community use. Building once, will prevent the need to increase taxes even more. Let us not be penny wise and dollar foolish. We do not need to prolong this process – and pay dearly for it along the way – when we have the best option right in front of us just begging for a "YES" vote at Special Town Meeting. And to those concerned about the water, check the reports - the water at that site is being contaminated by dog poop not being picked up by people! This should be corrected now!"
