The Maintenance Technician is a hands-on role, supporting general maintenance of our facility in Cassopolis, MI and assisting in the buildout of our state-of-the-art cannabis cultivation facility. Highway Horticulture is a vertically-integrated cannabis company based in Southwest Michigan. The Maintenance Technician will work side-by-side with our Chief Cultivation Officer, Retail Director and contractors, making sure the facility and building projects are completed safely, accurately and timely. This may require assisting contractors with acquiring supplies, performing basic maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting for the facility. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work effectively with little direction, with strong problem-solving skills, comfortable working with tools and operating equipment safely. Job duties will include, but are not limited to: • Receive packages and coordinate placement of shipments in the facility • Perform preventative maintenance and general troubleshooting on equipment and building • Maintain accurate equipment inventory and service records • Coordinate more complex repairs and warranty resolutions with vendors and contractors • Assist subcontractors with electrical, HVAC and other installations • Coordinate for snow removal, lawn care and other facility maintenance contracts • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters, and drains • Purchase necessary supplies, equipment and materials in order to complete projects • Possibly travel to our Marshall facility to assist with projects there • Perform ad hoc jobs and projects as needed Requirements: • Must be at least 21 years of age • Valid driver’s license • Experience working under OSHA safety guidelines • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly • Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop and use a ladder
