Our busy Equipment rental company is currently looking for a team player to fill the position of Warehouse/Delivery Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to our job sites, ensuring safe operation of vehicles, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. We will provide training to the right person who can demonstrate motivation and a willingness to learn. Essential Functions: • Assists in receiving stock and nonstock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct. • Cleans warehouse to maintain a safe and clean work area. • Delivers a variety of items to various job sites. • Drives vehicles (e.g. truck, van, forklift, etc.) for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites. • Maintains ongoing communication with route dispatcher. • Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of stock and/or filling orders for transport. • Inspects delivery vehicles (e.g., checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) to ensure safe operation of the vehicle. • Maintains records (e.g. delivery log) for the purpose of documenting activities. • Participates in physical inventories for the purpose verifying stock and identifying losses. • Performs all functions within the scope of the warehouse for the purpose of providing warehousing operations. • Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements. • Transports a variety of items on both scheduled and unscheduled pickup and delivery routes. Requirements: • Proven working experience as a delivery driver. • Valid Class A CDL and good driving record • Ability to operate various vehicles in a variety of weather and traffic conditions • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Good driving record • High school/GED graduate
