A great automotive repair shop, Buslab, in Berkeley is looking to add a full time member of our support staff. Our shop specializes in Volkswagen Buses and Vanagons. This role includes general cleaning & maintenance, restocking restrooms, general supplies, inventory checks, small projects, organizing and supporting the parts department. If you're comfortable - we'd also like to ask you take the company car on various errands (as needed.) Example errands include USPS and UPS drop offs, hardware store, and other misc. errands to assist in the day to day. This is a fairly independent role. While we're all a team here and work somewhat closely, your maintenance flow should flow with you. If you're interested in vintage VW's and potentially owning one- awesome! But no worries, if not. You're still welcome to apply. We truly need a reliable, friendly, and go getter person to keep the shop tidy and day to day moving along. The position has excellent working hours of Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5pm and all federal holidays are observed. Weekends off! The applicant must have: *A valid driver's license *A positive attitude *Excellent work ethic *A willingness to learn new things *Reliable for work schedule **A love of all things camping, Vw's, & dogs is a plus! The shop has a fun working environment and is accompanied by a competitive salary, starting at $18/hr. While you will start on a 3 month trial basis, you are immediately eligible for our Healthcare. There is plenty of parking around the shop, and it is also about an 8 minute walk to Ashby BART. We are fortunate to be next to a great coffee shop we frequent for baked goods & lattes.. plus every Tuesday the Farmers Market pops up. Buslab culture is relaxed, friendly, and feels like family.
