Description
I’ve played bass guitar on-and-off for several years and for the past year I’ve been playing bass in a garage band (drummer, two guitarists, bassist) that rehearses weekly. We play tunes by Stone Temple Pilots, Eagles, David Bowie, Tommy Tutone, Frank Zappa, Amy Winehouse, The Outfield, The Band, Foo Fighters, The Knack, Van Halen, Smashing Pumpkins, Kings of Leon, Alabama Shakes, Jane’s Addiction, The Cars, Steve Miller, Bad Company, The Beatles, etc. Playing music is my passion and I’d like to play more often than once a week, particularly if there’s some song overlap between my existing band and a new band. I practice daily and learn most songs pretty quickly. I read charts, chords, tabs, and bass clef (slowly) and have a decent and ever-improving understanding of music theory (circle of 5ths; major & minor scales; modes). Although I am very interested in playing out, I have no illusions of stardom or riches. My idea of perfection is performing classic rock and pop tunes with a band of like-minded musicians at bars, clubs, parties, honky-tonks, etc. to friendly crowds that groove and dance to our music. Until then, I’m happy to jam, rehearse, and refine sets. I’m reliable and dependable and do what it takes to learn my parts and arrive at practices prepared. I’m not arrogant and not addicted to anything. I’m over 50, fully vaccinated, and only interested in playing with honest, responsible, and kind people. If my musical interests, skills, and profile resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you. I won’t respond to any outreach that even remotely resembles a scam.
