Good Monday morning Connecticut, The weather forecast looks great today, with sunshine and temperatures into the low to mid 80s. COVID-19 vaccine mandates for students? Gov. Ned Lamont said he'd be "open" to the notion of local school districts mandating COVID-19 vaccine for students, Hearst Connecticut reports. In speaking with Hearst CT, Lamont said students age 12-18 have a 65 percent vaccination rate currently and he added "At some point, that may not be good enough." Drowning victim identified A 35-year-old man, Karlis Eltermanis, of Bridgeport drowned Sunday morning at the Lake Hills Beach area in Fairfield, according to police. About 8:40 a.m., emergency personnel received a 911 call about a missing swimmer, according to police, who said the caller told officials he and a friend had gone swimming, but his friend had been underwater about three minutes.
