Description

SECAUCUS, NJ — The town of Secaucus will again be giving out third vaccine shots this Thursday, Sept. 16 but this time the shots will be given from the Rec Center, not town hall. Secaucus warned in August it would reopen the Rec Center as a vaccine site if demand for third shots was there, and Gov. Phil Murphy said just Monday that he anticipates a "high" demand among New Jersey residents to get the third shot. This includes the return of New Jersey's COVID-19 vaccination mega-sites, which Murphy said will be ready to reopen almost immediately. Read: NJ Anticipating 'High Demand' For Third COVID-19 Vaccine Dose Secaucus will host a walk-in vaccine clinic from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Rec Center. No appointment is necessary. Anyone between the ages of 12 and 17 years old must be accompanied by an adult and must have a parental consent form completed. However, if you are moderately of severely immunocompromised and wish to receive a third dose of Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, an appointment MUST be scheduled with the Health Department at 201-330-2031 so we can ensure an adequate amount of vaccine is available.
