Fire Crews Make Quick Work Of Marin Blaze

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Fire crews on Sunday night made quick work of a blaze near Sausalito, the Marin County Sheriff's Office said. The blaze did not threaten Sausalito or other Southern Marin communities, the Sheriff's Office said. The #hawkfire is currently 4-5 acres. Between five to ten acres were burned and fire officials say they will remain on station overnight to prevent flare-ups. The fire was originally reported at 7:32 p.m. in the vicinity of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area Hawk Camp backpacking campground.
