PLEASANTON, CA — Miss pig racing, fair concerts and deep-fried Oreos last year? The Alameda County Fair is back. Organizers announced Monday what visitors can expect at the fair, which runs Oct. 22 to 31 and will be open from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekends. This year's theme is "Come Together." The 2020 event was canceled due to concerns about limiting spread of the coronavirus. "We are so excited that the Fair is back to offer our community the safe, family fun that they've always enjoyed here," said Jerome Hoban, fairgrounds CEO, in a statement.
