NEWARK, CA — From Newark City Hall to the White House, Tuesday's election is crucial. Voters have marked their ballots for their chosen leaders, on tax measures, and proposals that will shape California for generations to come.
Newark voters were faced with a $425 million bond issue, Measure XX, for seismic upgrades and maintaining hospital service in the Washington Hospital Healthcare District. Voters were also asked to extend the current Utilities Users Tax for nine years, Measure PP.
