JOLIET, IL — The Will County Sheriff's Office announced that a 45-year-old Joliet man who has been missing the past three weeks has been found. On Monday afternoon, sheriff's detectives posted on Facebook that they were trying to find David Duane Fugett who last had contact with family members around Aug. 23. Fugett was known to frequent the area along West Jefferson Street in Joliet between the Walmart and Star Inn motel, sheriff's officials stated. Several hours later, on Monday evening, the sheriff's office announced an update on social media, revealing that "sheriff's detectives have been notified that Mr. Fugett has been found and is safe. Thank you to those who reached out with information and shared our Facebook post."
