Visitation Policy Changed At Cleveland Clinic Due To COVID-19

CLEVELAND — Due to the continued spread of COVID-19 and a rising number of hospitalizations, the Cleveland Clinic is limiting how many visitors a patient can have. The hospital system issued a news release Monday explaining the changes. Most patients will be allowed only one visitor, though exceptions will be made for patients who test negative for COVID-19 and are in prenatal care, labor and delivery, or pediatrics. The new visitation guidelines will be implemented Tuesday, the hospital system said. "We base our visitation levels on data about how COVID-19 is spreading, including state and county public health information. These guidelines are in place for the safety of our patients, caregivers and community. They are subject to change if the facility gets crowded and safe physical distancing isn't possible," the Cleveland Clinic said in a statement.
