MSP Investigating Eastside Detroit Freeway Shooting

DETROIT — Michigan State Police are investigating a non-fatal freeway shooting that happened on Saturday on Detroit's Eastside. According to officials, the victim turned onto the West Davison Freeway from Gallagher Street before someone starting shooting at the back of his vehicle. The victim was then struck in the back of the head and neck by fragments of a bullet when he neared Jospeh Campau Avenue, police said. Live in Detroit? Although injured, the victim then drove himself to Henry Ford Hospital where he is in stable condition, police said. Authorities have not released any suspect information or determined motive for the shooting at this time.
