Riviera is a 2 years and 3 months old English Mastiff female. Her color is fawn with a full black mask. Riviera has some neat contrasting in her coat. I imported her from Italy. Her sire is a world champion in conformation. Her dam is a national and international champion in conformation. Riviera is a very sweet and loving Mastiff; I call her “Riv” sometimes. I have shown her in conformation a couple of times. I have done some basic obedience with her (see video link below). I am rehoming her because of her hips. Riviera has radiographic signs of hip dysplasia. Even though her hips do not hold her back at all now, it could be an issue later in her life. Hip dysplasia can happen in the molosser breeds regardless of how great the parents’ hip structures are, it just happens sometimes. The sire of Riviera had a hip score that was “excellent”, and the dam had a hip score of “good”. Rivera’s siblings all have good hips and are competitive in the show rings (various countries). She would do best with other large dogs that are non-aggressive and laid back. She does not need to be with hyper dogs, nor ones that want to pick fights. Riviera will need a fenced-in yard to do some light playing and relaxing. She will need to be kept on a diet; she usually eats about the same as my Dobermans (not as much as you would think). Riviera is not an aggressive dog. She has the typical Mastiff nature, aloof to strangers till proper introduction. She has never approached anyone in an aggressive nature. I will be screening potential owners. Dogs are a big part of my life; I’ve been into them for a long time. Do not lie to me about your setup or intentions. Riviera will be re-homed with limited AKC registration, a promise to spay contract (while she is in her two’s), and my personal contract. Riviera is up to date on shots and will come with her 3-ring binder (documents, export pedigree, records, awards, etc.). I have a rehoming fee of $300 to ensure certain factors. I have more than twenty-five times the re-homing fee invested in Riviera (not including the time and emotion). It will be hard to see her go, but I must. I cannot afford having two Mastiffs. I will be importing another one (that I can show) in due time.
