Giant Eagle Pharmacy Packaging Technician FULL-TIME $15/hr, plus $1000 new hire bonus 2500 Lovi Rd, Freedom, PA 15042 As a Pharmacy Packaging Technician, you’ll be a key part of our collaborative team. You’ll bring your skills and expertise to accurately and efficiently filling prescriptions, supporting Pharmacists, and ensuring that the pharmacy runs at the highest possible level. Duties include: - Removing out-of-date and expired medications using proper company procedures. - Training and mentoring new department team members. - Reporting errors, omissions, and incidents to Pharmacists on duty. - Perform, under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, the direct preparation and filing of a prescription. - Preparing and filing non-auto counted drugs. - Labeling bottles and prepackaged items accurately. - Replenishing canisters with consumables needed for prescription fulfillment. - Maintaining a neat and clean work environment in order to ensure that company and government requirements are met. - Recognizing, addressing, and escalating system issues. - Adhere to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations, including HIPAA. - Operating semi-automatic cabinets in order to fill customer orders. - Maintaining production rates and meet quality expectations as determined by leadership. Schedule - Shift start: 6:30AM or 3:00PM - Shift length: 8.5 hours - Days: 5 days/week, must be available any day, some weekends required Benefits - Health, dental, vision insurance available after 30 days - Paid time off - 401k Requirements - Must be at least 18+ years old - Must pass drug screen - Must pass background check - Can lift 25 lbs Bonus $1000 new hire incentive This bonus is paid out in 3 installments $200 after 90 days. $300 after 6months and $500 at 1 year of service.
