Description
We are seeking to fill a household management role for a husband and wife team who are busy raising two little kids and managing a boutique law firm in the Mission together. Your role will include day-to-day household oversight as well as assistance with administrative and personal tasks, with the ultimate goal of clearing the path for mom and dad to spend quality time with the kids when they’re not working. This is a warm and witty family with an ambitious schedule and too many toys.
Schedule: Part-time, some flexibility. Ideally:
4:30pm - 8:30pm, Monday - Friday
1:00pm - 4:00pm one Sunday per month
Compensation: $30 per hour
Pets: Two rather oversized cats
As Household Manager, you will help with:
* Planning and prepping family meals;
* Planning and prepping the “next day” tasks such as packing and unpacking backpacks, loading dishes, taking out trash and recyclables;
* Organizing and decluttering the home and handling in-kind donations;
* Managing the family calendar and securing reservations and tickets for restaurants, travel, and family outings;
* Processing mail and packages, scanning receipts, and other “home office” work;
* Managing household supplies and vendors;
* Other logistics including deliveries and gift shopping.
The ideal candidate for this family is detail-oriented and finds satisfaction in a well-organized home and a good-smelling kitchen. You are a thinker and a planner who is able to anticipate needs and prepare for a successful day, event, or meal. You should know your way around a scanner, but needn’t have formal administrative experience.
