Yard manager Alpine Construction & Landscaping Corp. is a rapidly growing construction & landscaping company seeking a shop manager to manage our base of operations. Requirements: - Valid driver’s license - Basic knowledge of construction and landscaping tools and equipment - Ability to read and write in English - Ability to drive a commercial vehicle (F-550 or similar) Pluses: - Fluent in Spanish as well as English - CDL class A or class B - Ability to operate heavy machinery (loader, skid steer, or similar) - Mechanical skills - Welding/fabrication skills Daily tasks will include, but not limited to: - coordinate with operations manager to make sure trucks are prepped for next days jobs. (Empty garbage from current days work, unload unnecessary tools, load necessary tools) - Pick up any materials, or tools needed for next days work as directed when work starts. - Keep inside and outsides of trucks clean - Keep track of tools/equipment - what jobs they are sent to - including inventory of tools/equip - Keep material, tools, and equipment neat and organized in the yard and the trucks - Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks on trucks, small equipment and machines. (Greasing, air filter cleaning, look for any loose parts, lights out, etc) - Track all mechanics hours and repairs - keep track of services - notify operations manager & mechanic when vehicles & equip are due for service - Collect all receipts from trucks and foreman - turn in to operations manager once per week - Track receipts and expenses for yard materials - Keep track of stock inventory (filter fabric, burlap, arbor tie, garbage bags, grease, mix gas, regular gas, cleaning supplies, etc). Notify operations manager when running low - keeps shop clean, neat and organized at all times
